We verify markings, dimensional series, suffixes, shield or seal codes, cage details and clearance. Photographs of both side faces are useful because small suffix differences can change preload, grease fill or contact angle.

The engineer records shaft speed, radial and axial load, mounting orientation, lubrication method and expected cycle. These values decide whether a catalog substitute is safe or whether a tighter NSK super precision option is needed.
